ALOHA !!!
this is a short information for those interested.
today MURUROA ATTÄCK members are: tobi (b), marc (dr), markus (g), olli (g), christian (g) and holger (voc) from the area around hamburg/hannover/bielefeld/osnabrück in northern germany.
we would describe the music we make as hc-punk. nothing more, nothing less. that means that desperation doesn’t have to be boring emo-shivelling, rage isn’t the mindless firing of slogans and fun doesn’t have to correspond to stupid fun-punk-clichés. but take a listen and decide for yourselves!
some of our lyrics are english, but a greater part is german, simply because it’s easier for us to get across what we want to say.
MURUROA ATTÄCK was founded in october 1995. most of the original members had already played in other bands. the people changed over the years, but the band’s attitudes remain the same:
anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-sexist, DIY OR DIE !!!
in february 1996 we recorded our first 10-song-demo-tape, the „aloha“-ep came out in june 1997, the first lp „sei immer nett zu schweinen“ (recorded in spring `98) was released in 2001. thereafter came „die dosis macht das gift“-lp/cd (2002/2003). 2003 we recorded a split-lp together with the incredible SUFFRAKETE PUNKHORST from hamburg. and for our 10-year anniversary in october 2005 we made „benzin macht frei“, a 10-inch mini-lp. 2007 finally the „ausbomben – best off“-cd
in all this time we went on several tours and play gigs in squats, self-administrated centres, at non-commercial-fests, etc. in germany, austria, denmark, hungary, the netherlands, switzerland, czech republic, sweden, slovakia, greece, …
conditions?
all we need to be happy is a bite to eat (vegetarian!), something to drink, a place to sleep and a little bit money for petrol.
